The cellulose film was invented in Switzerland in 1908.
Since the beginning of its commercial production in Japan in 1925,
it has been used for a great variety of packaging.
In the past 20 to 30 years, plastic films have overtaken and
outgrown cellulose film as major packaging material. However,
packing waste of plastic films has become an environmental issue.
Cellulose film is an eco-friendly biodegradable and compostable material,
which breaks down naturally in the soil. Regenerated cellulose film is derived
from wood pulp through a series of chemical process. Wood pulp of our cellulose
film is sourced from sustainable forests.
